Obituary for Geraldine Caruso

Geraldine Rose Caruso, 95, of Osceola Mills, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. Born April 7, 1922 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Mary (Lepre) Prestipino. Geraldine was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills. Along with her husband, they owned Caruso’s Store in Osceola Mills. She later worked at Navasky’s and was a cleaning fanatic. On June 22, 1943 she married Ralph J. Caruso, who passed away April 30. 1985. Geraldine is survived by a son Ralph A. Caruso and his wife Joan of Philipsburg, daughter Grace Ann Mullins and her husband Fred of Brunswick, OH; four grandchildren Ralph Caruso Jr. and his fiancée Brenda, Frank Caruso and his wife Shelby, Matt Tracy and Cindy Yanuck and her husband Ray; and three great grandchildren Matthew Yanuck, Nicholas Yanuck and Alleigh Caruso. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson Michael Mullins, a brother Charles Prestipino and a sister Theresa Swiderski. A graveside committal service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Osceola Mills, on Saturday, October 7 at 10am with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating.
