Obituary for Edith Warner

Edith M. Warner, 93, of Philipsburg, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home. Born June 7, 1925 in Lanse, she was a daughter of the late James A. & Beatrice D. (Davis) Anderson. Edith was a 1943 graduate of Cooper Township High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg, and enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling. On September 7, 1944 in Coalport, she married Edwin C. Warner, who passed away May 1, 1978. Edith is survived by two daughters Linda Harzinski and her husband James of Curwensville and Sandra Warner of Philipsburg; 3 grandchildren David A. Harzinski and his wife Chris, Deborah L. Schaefer and her husband Scott and Denise L. Rumsky and her husband Joe; and 3 great grandchildren Derek Harzinski, Karly Rumsky and Karson Rumsky. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers Robert, Richard and Norman Anderson. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, with Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery. Honoring Edith’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, PO Box 465, Philipsburg, PA 16866 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
