Obituary for Cecelia Freeberg

C. Ann Freeberg, 91, of Philipsburg, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Windy Hill Village P.S.L., Philipsburg. Born January 8, 1927 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late James Harry & Agnes Mary (Ballute) Ammerman. Ann was a 1944 graduate of Philipsburg High School and was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lanse. On February 7, 1948 in Indiana, PA, she married Joshua J. “Joe” Freeberg, who passed away August 15, 2000. Ann is survived by four children David Scott Freeberg and his wife Marsha of Potomac, Maryland, Cindy Sue Murarik and her husband Tony of Philipsburg, James Kevin Freeberg and his wife Cheri of Indiana and Jodi Kluksdahl and her husband Brent of Springfield, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by 3 brothers Gifford, Richard and John Ammerman. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1167 Maple St., Lanse, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Vicki Beilfuss officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10am until the hour of service at 11am. A luncheon will follow the service. Memorial contributions in Ann’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, PO Box 194, Lanse, PA 16849.
