Obituary for Wayne Kelley

Wayne Kelley, 93, of West Decatur and currently residing at Dayspring Personal Care Home in Morrisdale, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born March 19, 1928 in West Decatur, he was a son of the late Frank and Attie (Mills) Kelley. On September 5, 1952, he married the former Geane Gardner, who passed away May 25, 2019. Wayne was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in West Decatur and was active in the church for 60 years. He proudly served in the US Navy. Wayne was the service manager for the former Fred Diehl Motors and later worked at River Hill Coal Company, from which he retired after 25 years. Among his survivors are his niece and caregiver Dorothy Isaacson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sisters Hilda Husted, Gertrude Kelley and Catherine Kelley and brothers James, William, Joseph, Fern and Wendell. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family with lay speaker Georgia Litz officiating. Wayne will be laid to rest next to his wife at Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
