Timothy M. Maines Sr., 58, of Osceola Mills, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born on February 6, 1961 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Mitchell Maines & Vida (Bumbarger) Maines Kennedy. Tim was a 1980 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and had worked in the Saw Mill. He enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He especially loved working on cars, especially his son’s race car and watching his son dirt track race. On July 6, 1991 in Osceola Mills, he married Christine (Evans) Maines, who survives of Altoona. Also surviving are children Ariel Maines, Timothy M. Maines Jr. and Shantell Maines, all of Altoona; brothers Walter Maines and his wife Carol of Philipsburg, Fred Maines of Clearfield, Will Maines and his wife Patty of Sharon and Ernest Maines Sr. of Philipsburg; sisters Ann Blake of Philipsburg, Eleanor Bloom of Clearfield and Violet Dixon of Philipsburg; and numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father Alan Kennedy; brothers Bill Maines, Thomas Pike and Daniel Maines and sisters Beverly Bratton and Alice Harris. Friends will be received at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. on Tuesday, May 14 from 11am to 1pm and 4pm to 6pm.
