Shirley J. Gilham, 84, of Chester Hill, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born August 24, 1937 in Allport, she was a daughter of the late Therman Hartman & A. Isabelle (Rasch) Sharpless. Shirley had worked at the sewing factory for 22 years and later as a Nurse Aide at the Clearfield Hospital for ten years. She was a faithful Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan and enjoyed watching her daily soaps. On August 31, 1968, she married Robert K. Gilham, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2013. Shirley is survived by her daughter Brenda Lingle and her significant other Michael Askey of Chester Hill; two grandchildren John Huber and his significant other Heather Read and Allison Kephart and her fiancé Aaron Haney; two great grandchildren Easton Robert Huber and Gracie Jean Haney; and a step brother Marvin James Sharpless and his wife Kathy of New Liberty. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step father Edward Sharpless. Friends will be received at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, on Wednesday, December 22 from 5pm until the hour of service at 6pm. Shirley will be laid to rest at Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
