Ronald E. Bean, 74, of Osceola Mills, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg. Born November 27, 1944 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Daniel W. Bean Sr. & Helen Louise (Frank) Bean. Ron was a 1964 graduate of Philipsburg High School and was a Christian. He was a butcher and had worked at Cohicks Country Store, BiLo, Thompson’s, County Market and Hometown Market. He was also a truck driver for his brother. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren & great grandchildren. Ron is survived by his life partner Donna R. Bell of Osceola Mills; children Eva Secrist (Philip Secrist) of Burnt Cabins, Ronald Bean (Tia) of Kylertown, Helen Hughes of Philipsburg, Angelia Bean (Brad Rogers) of Lock Haven, Bethann Sample of Bloomsburg and Roy Tasker of Avis; siblings Shirley Hemphill of Lock Haven, Daniel W. “Buck” Bean Jr. of Munson, Norman Bean of Florida and Donna Blanar (David) of Easton; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews and his beloved dog, Taco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Lillian and brothers John Edward, Richard, and Albert “Abs”. Honoring Ron’s wishes, there will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
