Obituary for Rebecca "Becky" Schmoke

Rebecca Jean “Becky” Schmoke, 63, of Clearfield, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home. Born August 11, 1958 in Clearfield, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Charlotte Irene (Gaines) Schmoke. Becky attended West Branch High School and had worked for Meals on Wheels and Knickerbocker Villa as a cook. She was a former member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club and the Frenchville VFW. Becky’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Unfortunately, due to her untimely passing, she will miss the birth of her first great-grandson Braxton, who is expected to arrive soon. Becky was a huge Scooby-Doo fan and loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Becky is survived by her sons David L. Royer Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Clearfield and Jason P. “Cone” Schmoke of Curwensville; a brother Lonnie Schmoke of Cherry Tree; sisters Janice Wenger of Clearfield, Marion Pedmo and her husband Roger of Glen Richey and Thelma Steiner and her husband Rex of Big Run; ten grandchildren Joseph, Zechariah, Neven, Thea, Nevaeh, Noah, Cherish, Bane, Brantley and Kaliub and her life-long companion Terry Flanagan of Clearfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Paige. Friends will be received at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Monday, October 18 from 4pm until the hour of service at 5pm.
