Patricia A. Pleskonko, 85, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Philipsburg, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg. Born November 15, 1933 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Stanley & Mary (Lequar) Pleskonko. Patricia was a 1951 graduate of Philipsburg High School and a 1954 graduate of the Philipsburg Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University in 1959 and earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Catholic University of America in Washington DC in 1971. She retired from Mount Nittany Medical Center where she was a Registered Nurse. Patricia was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg. She is survived by a brother Dr. Jerome Pleskonko and his wife Janice of Virginia and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers Andrew, Stanley, Martin, William and James and five sisters Mary Ellis, Christine Williamson, Josephine Sharpless, Ethel Pleskonko and Constance Benson. A Memorial Mass will be held at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. Fourth St. Philipsburg, on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1pm with Father John Gibbons as celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 12pm to 1pm prior to the service. Patricia will be laid to rest at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Morrisdale.
