Obituary for Norma Arrington (Strayer)
Norma Jean Strayer Arrington, age 68, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Friday, November 11, 2022 at Bear Creek Healthcare in De Queen.
She was born October 14, 1954 in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed spending time outside and loved her grandchildren.
Mrs. Arrington was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ruby (Lindstrom) Strayer; one sister, Beverley Strayer and her first husband, Gerald Socash.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley Arrington of De Queen; two brothers, Michael Strayer of Morrisdale, Pennsylvania and Steve Strayer of Florida; two sisters, Olive Strayer of Chicago, Illinois and Billie Jo and husband, Jim French of Ramey, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Jerri Lee and husband, Alvin Way of Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania, Cristal and husband, Bruce Jernigan of El Dorado, Arkansas and Candy and husband, James Nishida of Shawville, Pennsylvania; one son, Michael and wife, Carolyn Socash of De Queen; twelve grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1pm.
