Michael C. “Mick” Rodger, 70, of Chester Hill, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born on May 29, 1951 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Sophia (Czar) Rodger. Mick was a 1969 graduate of the Philipsburg High School and was a member of the First Church of Christ. He retired from the Philipsburg Osceola School District where he worked in the Maintenance and Custodial departments. Mick enjoyed camping, fishing and visiting with his family and friends. On April 21, 1973 at the Forest Baptist Church, he married Linda E. Mason, who survives. Along with his wife, Mick is survived by three sisters in law Joanie English and her husband Barry of Morrisdale, Rebecca Hubler and her husband Alvin of Munson and Abby Bennett of Munson, a brother in law Vic Welker and his wife Bonnie of CA, several nieces and nephews and special care givers Brian Hughes and Bobbie Dixon Hughes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Susan, an infant brother Fred and two sisters Matilda Harshbarger and Donna Schnarrs. A funeral service will be held at the Forest Baptist Church, 3847 Winburne Munson Rd., Winburne, PA 16879 on Saturday, January 8th at 2pm with Pastor Sue Wilson Radel officiating. Mick will be laid to rest at the Forest Baptist Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Friday, January 7th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm and at the church on Saturday, from 1pm until the hour of service.
