Obituary for Mary McMullan

Mary Margaret McMullan, 76, of LaPorte and formerly of Philipsburg, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Highlands Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, LaPorte, PA. Born August 26, 1940 in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Truman G. & Isabel (Oxley) McMullan Sr. Mary was a 1958 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School, a graduate of Mount Aloysius Junior College and attended Mansfield University. For over 30 years, she was a caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church, Dushore, and was a life member of the Smithsonian Institute. Mary had a love for anything Disney. Mary is survived by a brother Truman G. McMullan and his wife JoAnn of LaPorte; nieces and nephews close to her heart Jennifer McMullan, Jeff Farnsworth and Amy Bonislawski; great nieces & nephews Chester, Kali, Lilly and Alyssa; a great great nephew Allister; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Funeral mass will be celebrated at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. Fourth St. Philipsburg, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 12:30 pm with Fr. John Gibbons as celebrant. Burial will follow at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church prior to mass, from 11:30 am to 12:30pm.
