Obituary for Margaret Stodart

Margaret Brady Stodart, 91, of Houtzdale, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at her home. Born February 2, 1927 in Houtzdale, she was a daughter of the late James & Annie (Westover) Brady. She was the youngest of six children. On August 31, 1948 at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Houtzdale, she married Thomas M. Stodart. They enjoyed 60 years of married life until he passed on March 19, 2008. Margaret was a graduate of Houtzdale Woodward Township High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Margaret is survived by 8 children Germaine Stodart of Silver Springs, MD, Gene Stodart of Katy, TX, Thomas Stodart of Houtzdale, Nancy Kasubick of Indiana, Cindy Evcic of State College, Justin Stodart of Clearfield, Trish Neeper of Clearfield and Margaret Caprio of Osceola Mills; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a brother John Brady of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11:00am with Fr. Joe Staszewski as celebrant. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Madera. Friends will be received at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 2550 Union St., Ramey, on Tuesday, August 28 from 9am until departure to the church at 10:50am. In lieu of sending food or flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Margaret’s memory to the Houtzdale/Ramey EMS, PO Box 224, Houtzdale, PA 16651.
