Obituary for Margaret Crytser

Margaret M. Crytser, 84, of Port Matilda, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. Born June 22, 1933 in Rockton, she was a daughter of the late Francis L. & Ethel E. (LaBorde) Nickerson. Margaret was a 1950 graduate of Dubois High School and retired from Penn State University where she worked in Food Service. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Port Matilda, an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. On May 18, 1950 in Falls Creek, she married George W. Crytser, who passed away November 9, 2007. She is survived by a daughter Lorrie Price and her husband Russell of Port Matilda, a son Jeffrey Crytser and his wife Lisa of Unionville, four grandchildren Ardra E. Mehallow, Rusty Price, Leslie Miller and Lindsay Meckley; and six great grandchildren. The last of her generation, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Gerry Crytser and a grandson Robert Lee Price. A funeral service will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, PA, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 7:00pm with Pastor Samuel D. Reese officiating. Burial will be at Rockton Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20 from 5 to 7pm. Memorial contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 209 S.
