Kelly S. (Stem) Watson, 58, of North Philipsburg, and formerly of State College, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Kelly was born on October 28, 1963 in Tyrone and was of the Methodist Faith. She was a graduate of State College Area High School and earned a Psychology degree from Kaplan University. Kelly was a US Army Civilian, a former Supervisor MCSS at AAFES-Europe, a former carpenter at Larry Allen Construction, was an ordained minister and was self-employed at Teaberry Primitives. She enjoyed going to the beach, camping and was an excellent gardener. She was well known for making dolls and giving to others, whether it was paying for the person behind her in the drive-thru or supporting a charity or fundraiser. She and her husband have fostered over 70 children and have adopted nine. On May 8, 1992 at Winchester, VA, she married Daniel L. Watson, who survives at home. Also surviving are her parents, her children Aimee Finnigan and her husband Marty of Philipsburg, Candace Pirritano and her wife Fiona Augar of Elkton, MD, Olivia Watson of Lock Haven, Sophie Watson of Philipsburg, Nassir Watson, Jaiden Watson, Niajah Watson, Jazell Watson, Calille Watson, Nastacia Watson, and Cynphani Watson all of Philipsburg; two brothers, a sister in law Gail Stem of Houtzdale and a granddaughter Gracie Finnigan. Kelly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Ross and Grace Clouser and paternal grandparents Charles and Florence Stem. Honoring Kelly’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
