Obituary for James "Jim" Holt

James H. “Jim” Holt, 67, of West Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born December 4, 1953 in York, he was the son of John W. and Mary Marcella (McTigue) Holt. Jim was a 1973 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School and retired as Supervisor for Decatur Township. Along with his wife Robin, they owned and operated the former HoltDaddy’s Pub in Osceola Mills. Jim enjoyed riding his Harley and fishing. He was a member of the Osceola Mills Slovak Club, Curwensville MOOSE, Philipsburg VFW and Sons of the American Legion. On April 1, 1997, he married Robin L. Millard, who survives at home. Jim is also survived by his son James P. Holt and his significant other Nancy Laich of Osceola Mills; a step-son John Socoski III and his wife Beth (Nicholson) of Tampa, FL; his fur baby Preemie Girl and fur grand-dog Buster. Friends will be received at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Tuesday, May 4th from 3 to 7pm. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Dewey Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
