Obituary for Gloria Ranker

Gloria N. Ranker, 77, most recently a resident of the Dubois Nursing Home, and formerly of Philipsburg and York, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Penn Highlands Clearfield. Born August 15, 1943 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of George Thomas and Gladys Ann (Archer) Domanick. Gloria was a graduate of Philipsburg High School and received her Certified Nursing Aide license. While living in Philipsburg, she worked at the former Charles Navasky & Co. Once she moved to York, she worked as a CNA at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home and retired from Margaret E. Moul Home (York County Cerebral Palsy Home) where she was a dietary aide. Gloria was of the Protestant Faith and loved spending time with her granddaughter Kayte. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, going to casinos, scratch-off lottery tickets, and watching game shows. Gloria is survived by her children Frederick E. Trump Jr. and his fiancé Rhonda Good of Philipsburg, Lisa A. Meersand and her husband Jordan of North Grafton, Massachusetts, Gregory A. Trump and his wife Helen of York, and Scott E. Trump and his wife Dawn of York; sisters Beverly Beck of Port Matilda, Dorothy Sheaffer of Carlisle and Shirley Botwright of Azusa, California; 11 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ian, Kiyanna, Carissa, Justin, Coty, Zachery, Kiela, Jeremy, Taylor and Kasey; 6 great grandchildren Deklan, Kaiden, Jace, Brayzen, Tabitha and Ellie; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar C. Ranker, grandchildren Samuel Trump and Rhiannon Trump, brothers Edward, Donald and Thomas Domanick and sisters Helen Phillips, Georgia Hilliard, Ruth Quick and Margaret “Peg” Shimmel. A funeral service will be held at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Monday, July 12, at 1pm with Pastor Michelle R. Bodle officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm. A graveside committal service will be held at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York, on Tuesday, July 13 at 10am.
