The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Conklin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Philipsburg has lost a Hero to many , a legend, and a good friend. Gary was all of these, I grew up watching him race the original 24, He was bigger than life to us kids. He signed our autographs and answered our questions. God bless the family and help them through his passing.

Condolence From: MICHAEL ALBANO
Condolence: I am sorry for your loss. It was a year or so ago I was back in my hometown of Philipsburg for a day visit with a close friend and I stopped in on the highway when I noticed Gary's garage. I walked in and introduced myself as I know the many years gone by that he nor I would have recognized one another until I told him who I was. He was elated in seeing me after so many years and we had a few going back moments of conversation and a nice short visit. My prayers are with you especially at this time of year. I know the sadness as my wife passed away CHRISTMAS EVE 2009. MICHAEL ALBANO
