Elaine E. Kephart, 85, of Chester Hill, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg. Born June 9, 1933 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert & Whalborg V. (Netterblade) Klang. Elaine was a graduate of Cooper Township High School and was a member of the First Church of Christ. She was a teller at First National Bank (Federal Savings, Mid-State, PNC) and had also worked for the Philipsburg Osceola School District where she was secretary for the cafeteria department. Elaine enjoyed ceramics, needlepoint/cross stitch and traveling. On May 22, 1955 in Philipsburg, she married Donald R. Kephart, who survives. Also surviving is a son Donald Brian Kephart and his wife Tammie of Beaver Falls, a daughter Vicky Albert and her husband Randy of Morrisdale and four grandchildren Dr. Nathaniel T. Kephart, Adam B. Kephart, Cheyenne S. Albert and Wyatt Z. Albert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Norman Klang. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Honoring Elaine’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. She will be laid to rest at Grassflat Lanse Lutheran Cemetery.
