Dorothy L. Jones, 74, formerly of Gearhartville, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Amber Terrace at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. Born on December 19, 1948 in Gearhartville, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Jones Jr. and Goldia (Singer) Jones. Dorothy was a 1968 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School and attended the gFree Church. She loved animals and enjoyed drawing, gardening, cooking and walking. Dorothy is survived by a niece Donna J. Zarzyczny of Williamsport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Norman L. Jones and a sister Esther M. Shockey. A memorial service will be held at gFree Church, 305 Keystone Hill Road, Philipsburg, on Wednesday, May 3rd at 10am with Pastor Noel Meyers officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Centre United Methodist Cemetery, Osceola Mills RD. Arrangements are under the care of the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg.
