Donna Rosannah Bell, 73, of Philipsburg and formerly of Osceola Mills, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022. Born October 26, 1948 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of Lawrence Jesse Gower and Freda Irene (Case) Gower Grove. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Philipsburg and enjoyed crafting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her New Year’s Eve parties with sparkling grape juice is now a special memory. Donna worked as a teacher’s aide and housekeeper when her children were elementary age and later earned her CNA certificate. She retired from Windy Hill Village in July 2021, after 35 years of service. On August 28, 1965, she married Norman Bell Jr., who preceded her in death on August 26, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her fiancé Ronald E. Bean on March 23, 2019, a son Monroe William Case Bell, a great grandson Seth Bell, a sister Beatrice Stickles and two brothers Daniel Gower and Dennis Gower. Donna is survived by two daughters Julia Irene Hubler and her husband Lynndon of Morrisdale and Donna Verost and her husband James of Philipsburg, her son’s wife Angela Bell of Houtzdale, a brother Darrell Gower and his wife Cindy of Oregon, seven grandchildren Elizabeth Scalzo, Cullen Hubler, Saraya Hubler, Breanna Bell, Monroe William Case Bell III, Norman James Bell III and Courtney Demko, three great grandchildren Eva Hubler, Skye Bell and Allison Smith and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Friday, February 25th at 4pm with Pastor Drew Baker officiating. Friends will be received from 3pm until the hour of service.
