Denise Haun, 66, of the Philipsburg Towers, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Centre Care, Bellefonte. Born July 18, 1955 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Rose (Tufo) Finocchio. Denise was a 1974 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School and a 1981 graduate of Empire Beauty School. After receiving her Nurses Aide certification, she worked at the former University Park Nursing Home (now Hearthside). Denise loved all kinds of animals, was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and enjoyed being in the outdoors. She is survived by her four children Angela Warner and husband Chad of Port Matilda, Amanda Taylor and husband Andres of Philipsburg, Joseph Dumond and wife Brittani of Bellefonte and Jake Haun and his significant other Natalie Ciuta of Pennsburg; their father Ed Dumond of Bellefonte; eight grandchildren Chase, Molly, Max and Callie Taylor, Zachary Warner, and Emma, Owen, and Gavin Dumond; a sister Terri Lindley and husband Ernie of Port Matilda; a niece Heather Lucas; and two nephews Nathan and Joshua Lucas. Honoring Denise’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or service. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
