Obituary for D. Elaine Wisor

D. Elaine Wisor, 92, of West Decatur and a current resident of Dayspring Personal Care Home in Morrisdale, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born July 23, 1928 in West Decatur, she was a daughter of the late Homer “Zoo” and Nellie J. (Lumadue) Shaw. Elaine was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, West Decatur and a graduate of Philipsburg High School. She worked as a secretary and in payroll at the former General Cigar Company in Philipsburg and at the former Leitzinger’s Department Store in Clearfield. On August 12, 1949 in West Decatur, she married Walter R. “Bucky” Wisor, who passed away July 4, 1997. Elaine is survived by a daughter Janice Bush and husband Barry of Osceola Mills, son Rick Wisor and wife Janet of Wallaceton, four granddaughters Jennifer Sinclair and husband Ed, Stacie Kopilchak and husband John, Nicole Appleyard and husband Mike and Ashley Lancaste and husband Jarrett; eight great grandchildren Devin Sinclair, Hunter Sinclair, Jerek Garman, Tyler Sinclair, Jalyn Garman, Jaron Garman, Brody Lancaste and Briely Lancaste; two brothers Ronald Shaw of West Decatur and Harold Shaw of Jennerstown; one niece and five nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by a brother Alvin “Mike” Shaw, an infant brother; two sisters Bernice Shaw and Janet Flack and in laws Alma Shaw, Marlene Shaw, Jackie Shaw and Nelson Flack. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Don Smith officiating. Elaine will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Philipsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Elaine’s memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western PA, 575 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202 or to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
