Blanche R. Kerfoot Ferguson, 88, of Pleasant Hill, Philipsburg RD, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born August 21, 1933 in Port Matilda, she was a daughter of the late Franklin H. and Elizabeth G. (Moore) Patton. Blanche was a graduate of the Philipsburg High School and was a Tony Stewart fan. She had worked at several area businesses throughout her life, but being a full time grandmother or “Bebo” as the grandchildren called her, was her top priority. Blanche was first married in 1954 to Ernest Lee Kerfoot; he passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 1967. She later married Gordon D. Ferguson, who passed away April 6, 2006. Blanche is survived by her daughter Lisa Kerfoot Gagne of Pleasant Hill (Philipsburg), her son David Kerfoot and his wife Debbie of Plainville, CT, and four grandchildren Eric Wallace, Abbey Wallace, Megan Wallace and Emily Kerfoot. In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by her son Michael Lee Kerfoot, her son in law Mark Gagne, her brother John A. Patton and her sister Anna J. Myers. Honoring Blanche’s wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
