Obituary for Andrew "Lee" Hudak

Andrew “Lee” Hudak passed away suddenly Tuesday August 10, 2021, in State College, Pennsylvania. He was born in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania May 18, 1938.
Lee was preceded in death by his father Andrew, his mother Kathryn (Test), his brother John “Jack”, and his sister, Jean.
Surviving relatives of Lee are his wife, Beverly (Lukens); sister, Louise; sons Andrew Jr. (North Carolina); Steve (Virginia); and Keith (Spain). He also has two daughters-in-law, Joni (Steve) and Jody (Keith).
Lee leaves behind his grandchildren, Heather (Virginia); Rosanna and Kristen (North Carolina); Candace and husband Josiah (North Carolina); Cody and wife Ashley (Ohio); and Cal (North Carolina).
He will also be missed by his great grandchildren: Bayleigh “Ryan” (Virginia); Ethan, Grayson, Emma, Evan, Haleigh, Bella, Leo, and Harmony (all of North Carolina); Penelope Rose (North Carolina).
Lee was an avid hunter, fisherman, and overall outdoorsman. He was a master woodcarver and taxidermist.
He began working with Bell Telephone out of high school in 1956 as a lineman/installer and continued to do so for the next 45-years for the same company that is now Verizon amassing numerous safety, customer service, and perfect attendance awards.
We boys joked that dad was always watching them from above. He was still very much alive, just working at the top of a telephone pole in some place we shouldn’t have been. His shrill whistle told us we were busted. Now, Dad is truly watching us from above in his heavenly home.
A private service will be held in his honor.
